Saeed Atcha MBE DL

Saeed Atcha is the Founding CEO of local youth charity, Xplode, where he has supported more than 3,000 disadvantaged young Greater Mancunian’s access volunteering opportunities and skills development programmes. Saeed led his organisation to receive Her Majesty the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in 2016, and was made a recipient of the Prime Minister's Points of Light award in 2015. Saeed was the youngest person to be named recipient of an MBE in the Queen's New Years Honours List 2019. 

 Saeed is also Government Social Mobility Commissioner working across sectors to create a fairer society. He serves as a trustee of HRH The Prince of Wales’ charity, Step up to Serve, which leads the #iwill campaign to encourage meaningful social action across society. He is a trustee of Young Manchester, Generation: You Employed, UK and an Advisory Council member to the Care Tech Foundation. He is a school governor at his former secondary school, Ladybridge High School in Bolton.

 Saeed is currently studying for an MSc in Public Relations at Manchester Metropolitan University where he graduated in 2017 BA (Hons) in Public Relations and Marketing. Saeed was previously a broadcaster for 12 News UK radio stations.
