Mrs Judith Bromley DL BA(Hons)

Judith was born and educated in Bolton and after studying for her Law Degree and Solicitor final examinations in Leeds she returned back home to Bolton to work as a solicitor, qualifying in 1988.

She practises law at Russell and Russell solicitors and heads the Elderly client team and is the current managing partner, becoming the first female partner in the firm since its inception in 1887.

 She has been actively involved with the work of Bolton Hospice since 1998 and in 2014 became the current chairman of the charity   .

As well as leading the Board of Trustees she has raised thousands of pounds for the Hospice in trekking for them to places such as Mt Toubkal, Kilimanjaro and Base camp Everest , in an attempt to not only raise much needed funds but also to raise the awareness of the work of the Hospice .

Judith is the current Vice Chairman of the charity Alliance Learning which supports and provides specialist apprenticeship provisions for young adults, now closely supported by the University of Bolton, she is passionate about the availability of alternative routes of education for our young people to provide the opportunities to everyone who has a need.

 Judith is a regular speaker at other local charity events in and around the Bolton area raising the profile of those close to her but also to highlight the opportunities available to all.

Judith is married to Husband Phil and has a passion for mountains, climbing up them and skiing down them and cavalier king Charles spaniels.

She was appointed as a Deputy Lieutenant in 2019.
