Carole Nash DL
Carole was born in Manchester and attended Whalley Range High School. She has been married to Fred for over 48 years and lives in Bowdon. She has two children, Malcolm and Jane, and eight grandchildren who all live locally. Carole is a great believer in true family values as this makes the foundation for a happy family life environment.
Carole started her company “Carole Nash Insurance” on the dining room table in 1985 after being made redundant. During the 21 years she owned the company she received many business awards, N.W. Woman of Achievement, Most Inspirational Woman over 50, Inspiring Woman Business Award and runner up to the Veuve Clicquot Award. She sold her company in 2006 for a considerable amount of money, and since then she has made significant donations to the Arts and children’s charities in Manchester.
Her personal interests include the Arts, cooking, gardening, her six Chihuahuas, travel and supporting Manchester City.
Carole was made a DL in 2011.
Her Majesty the Queen honoured Carole in the Diamond Jubilee Birthday Honours List with the OBE for philanthropy in the North West and the same year she awarded the Business Masters award “The North west Pride award for ongoing support of local community and charity work.
