Eigthy Four fundraising volunteers flew in support of the  Mayor of Oldham's charity at a very exciting day in Wales organised by John Battye DL.

Amongst the 'mad volunteers' were John, his son and grandchildren and a whole team from ACE NorthWest led by Anna Reeves DL.  Together they have raised a wonderful £17,000 for the Mayor’s chosen charities.

John and Anna are particulalry grateful to all those who took time to sponsor them and particularly to Sir Norman Stoller for his generosity in underwriting the initial costs that enabled the volunteers to concentrate on putting their efforts into raising funds for some very deserving charities.

The Photographs say it all with a thumbs up from the Mayor of Oldham, Councillor Ateeque Ur-Rehman.

John Battye looking as if he is offering a prayer (who could blame him) with the whole group enjoying the sunshine of what must have been a fantastic day.

The Virgin Giving site will stay online till 15/6/16. If anyone wishes to make a donation Then:
