Mrs Diane Hawkins JP LLB

Diane was a solicitor in practice in Manchester for many years specialising in Occupational Disease litigation; she is now a Presiding Justice sitting exclusively in the Family Court in Greater Manchester. She Chairs the Advisory Committee of the Greater Manchester Bench.
Diane is Chair of the Manchester Guardian Society Charitable Trust, Chair of the Duchy of Lancaster Benevolent Fund GM Panel and a Trustee of the GM High Sheriff’s Police Trust. She is a member of the Church of England Provincial Panel for the Province of York, dealing with clergy disciplinary measures
Diane is a Governor of her old school, Withington Girls’ School in Manchester.
After a life long involvement with Guides and Scouts, Diane Chairs Bolton Scout Trust.
She was made a Deputy Lieutenant in 2008, served as High Sheriff of Greater Manchester 2021/22 and was appointed HM Lord Lieutenant in July 2022.
