Lt. Col. (Retired) Leanda J. Pitt OBE TD DL

Leanda is a retired Lieutenant Colonel, formally the Commander Regional Recruiting North West and is now the Head of Regional Recruitment Operations for Scotland, Northern Ireland and the North of England. The role is pivotal in one of the UK’s largest and most diverse recruiting operations whose aim is to deliver exceptional candidate experience throughout an inclusive recruitment process. Leading a team of 200 Capita and Military staff she delivers 35% of the Regular Army recruiting target annually.

She is a Vice Chairman Military for the North West and Isle of Man Reserve Forces and Cadets Association and a Trustee for the Stretford Road Trust which provides support for Army Reserve units based in the County Palatine of Lancaster.

She was awarded a Territorial Decoration in 1998, appointed a Deputy Lieutenant for Greater Manchester in 2004 and awarded an OBE in HM The Queen’s New Years Honours list in 2009.

Once a keen sportswoman she now prefers to watch from the side line, she is an avid Manchester United supporter and Season Ticket Holder.
